Mario Cariati B.A. L.L.B.

After being involved in his own serious personal injury litigation and as a result of his own injury, Mario decided at an early age that he wanted to assist others who had sustained serious injuries.

Because of his empathy and  understanding of the sensitive needs that all injured persons require, his drive and legal expertise has equaled a high rate of successful settlements and closings on personal injury cases.

Mario’s practice and energies focus on accident benefits, personal injury and general negligence. He has advocacy and trial experience appearing in front of various tribunals including

  • the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal,
  • Financial Services Commission of Ontario,
  • Provincial Offences Court,
  • the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
  • and Magistrates Court (England).            

Mario Cariati was educated at the University of Toronto, Holborn College (London, England) and Osgoode Hall Law School. After articling with a Toronto based personal injury firm, Mario was called to the Bar in 2004.            

Mario is a member of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.


Patrick D'Aloisio

Patrick practices in the area of personal injury, occupier’s liability and product liability claims. His focus areas include property damage, bodily injury, negligence  and emotional loss.

 Patrick joined Cariati Law in 2009 after having articled with the firm.

Education and Experience

Patrick graduated with Honours with a  Bachelor of Arts in History from York University in 2004. He received his LL.B.  from Osgoode Hall in 2007.

Professional and Business Affiliations

Patrick was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Upper Canada.


Hermia Leung, Paralegal

A licensed paralegal with the Law Society of Upper Canada, Hermia Leung has been a member of Cariati Law since April 2007 focusing on accident benefits claims and mediation services. She has extensive experience in the mediation, arbitration and appeals tribunal process of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Working closely with insurance companies and other agencies, Hermia has acquired considerable knowledge and experience in this field to produce maximum benefits for Cariati’s clients. She has completed the Court and Tribunal Agent program at Sheridan Institute of Technology in Ontario and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration and Governance at Ryerson University, Toronto.


Mick Vashishth, Paralegal

Mick is a senior paralegal licensed by the Law Society of upper Canada to provide legal services in Ontario. Mick has over 15 years of experience in the area of Personal Injury.

Mick has been with Cariati Law Firm since 2008 and has been successfully assisting counsel and clients in various tribunal in Ontario such as the Financial Service Commission of Ontario and Small Claims Court. Mick deals with all aspects of Personal Injury Law from negligence matters to slip and falls to serious and catastrophic cases. Mick is involved in complex cases in terms of liability and/or damages. Mick’s assistance is invaluable in helping accident victims to manage their disability claims and their interactions with insurers, while still achieving the best possible recovery. Mick concludes litigation matters in the most efficient way possible, and with no unnecessary compromise.
Mick is fluent in Hindi. His training in the legal realm allows for accurate translation of legal terms.
