Double Tragedy
Trust Fund to be Announced for Seriously Injured 9 Year Old Boy
St. Catherines, Ontario - Oct, 22 2007 - Trust Fund to be announced for seriously injured Sergio Gutierrez, 9 years old, came with his family from Mexico for a rare visit to be with his seriously ill father, Hermelindo, a migrant worker who is undergoing treatment for kidney failure.
The reunion which was to be a happy event has now left the family with a double tragedy and without financial means.
Tragedy struck the family again when Sergio was struck by a car on September 1st and suffered massive head injuries.
Sergio suffered serious head injuries that required doctors removing bone from his skull to relieve pressure. It is still early to tell the extent of the brain injury and recovery.
To help Sergio and his family, Mario Cariati, the family lawyer said a press conference will be held on October 23rd at 12.00PM at 1 Churchill Street, Apt 6 L2S 2P3 St. Catherines, Ontario, to announce details of the trust fund set up to help Sergio.
